Museum of Contemporary Art Sydney

It was opened in 1991 and is located in Sydney's central office district. It is Australia's only museum dedicated to contemporary art and houses pieces by both Australian and international artists. Inside we find several collections: the J W Power Collection is the largest and is the one that gave rise to the museum. John Power had left his personal collection to the University of Sydney for his students to use. Later, the Museum of Contemporary Art was created from his collection.
