Villa Sorra

Villa Sorra is a historic estate located in the municipality of Castelfranco Emilia.

In its park we find what is considered the most representative example of a "romantic" garden of the Estense nineteenth century and is considered by many to be the most important of the informal gardens present in Emilia Romagna. In addition to the villa, the stables, the ice house and the dairy were built, buildings that still exist. Another representative aspect of the villa is the historic garden with ornamental plants imported from all over the world, a poplar grove outside the park which is turning into a lowland wood and meadows and cultivated fields. The Garden is open every day until the evening.
