La Casina delle Civette e il Casino nobile

Historic Villa Rome, Italy

Great and wonderful museum of La Casina delle Civette e il Casino nobile

Between 1910 and 1925, in the midst of the Art Nouveau movement, a small group of artists transformed the old chalet (also called a Swiss house) into the current Art Nouveau Stained Glass Museum. Inside you will find an exhibition of worked glass and particular furnishings, consistent with the architectural style of the house. The villa looks like it came out of a fairytale book, don't you think? 😃 Moving a few meters we find the Casino Nobile, which is in itself a "Museum" from an architectural and decorative point of view and which houses a small but valuable collection of statues of the Torlonia family. In addition to the collection, we recommend a visit as inside you will find a ballroom, a beautiful garden and a splendid terrace. Between 1925 and 1943 it hosted the house hosted Benito Mussolini
