A gift from France to United States celebrating the centenary of the independence wars, the Liberty Statue is globally recognized as the symbol of freedom and democracy.
This monument stands on Liberty Island in New York bay, welcoming tourists, immigrants and americans coming home. The statue itself is 150ft, but the pedestal raises it to 305ft high. You can reach the Statue of LIberty by a ferry leaving from Battery Park. The only chance you have to reach the top of the Statue is by booking a ticket months before; in case you couldn't, you can still visit the beautiful park below the statue in Liberty Island whence you have a fantastic view of Ny skyline.
