Venice Beach

City Los Angeles, California

The "Venice of America" Venice Beach

The city, with about 40,000 inhabitants, was founded in 1905 close to the Pacific Ocean with Santa Monica to the north and Playa del Rey to the south. It represents the realization of entrepreneur Abbot Kinney's dream who, after winning the land with the toss of a coin, was thus able to create the much desired "Venice of America" with a system of artificial canals in a pleasant residential and d 'entertainment. Now Venice is a bustling tourist city.

Venice Beach Boardwalk also called Venice Ocean Front Walk is one of the symbols of the city because this promenade is not like any other. The long pedestrian avenue overlooking the Pacific Ocean with palm trees and cycle path, very popular with both tourists and locals, is full of restaurants, bars, stalls and shops, some of which are purely touristic among others of good quality.
