The sanctuary of the Madonna del Frassino is a monumental church in Peschiera del Garda and belongs to the diocese of Verona. Following the appearance of a small statue of just over 14 cm, depicting a Madonna holding the baby Jesus in her arms, it was decided to build a small chapel in the place of the miracle: this was inaugurated on 12 September 1510. The sanctuary was built thanks to the offerings of the people and managed by the served fathers.
In a short time the chapel, which in the meantime had passed into the hands of the Franciscan friars minor, precisely on 18 June 1514, became a meeting point for numerous faithful who brought votive gifts as a result of the graces received.
