The Sanctuary of Montecastello is located just below the top of Monte Castello, on a rock spur overlooking the lake, with a magnificent panoramic view. For centuries it has been a place of pilgrimage and devotion, particularly to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is depicted in an ancient and miraculous fresco behind the high altar. Thanks to its privileged position, the Sanctuary of Montecastello offers visitors unique and spectacular views, in particular of Monte Baldo and Sirmione.
