The Coralarium sculpture was built in the center of the Maldives coral reef, near the beach resort of the Fairmont Maldives island Sirru Fen Fushi, where the Fairmont luxury resort is located. The work, signed by the sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, who has always been involved in works for the protection of the environment, half lowered into the ocean has the ultimate goal of saving the oceans. Indeed, over time, an artificial coral reef will form around this semi-submerged museum, which will become a home for hundreds of animals and plants.
