The Jews district Ghetto Ebraico

The Venetian Ghetto was the area in which Jews were forced to live by the government of the Venetian Republic. Once in 1797 the French army of Italy, dissolved the Venetian republic, ended the ghetto's separation from the city. Later in the 19th century, the ghetto was renamed the Contrada dell'Unione.

You can take a tour from the Museo Ebraico to visit the area.
