Stortorget (The Big Square) is a small public square in Gamla Stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. It is the oldest square in Stockholm, the historic center on which the medieval urban conglomerate gradually formed. Today the square is visited every year by tens of thousands of tourists, and is occasionally the scene of events and shows. It is traditionally known for its annual Christmas market offering traditional crafts and food.
