Near the mouth of the river Cassibile, between Avola and Syracuse, stretches the Beach of the Marchesa, notably known as Gelsomino Beach, so called because there grow jasmine flowers.
Walk in the white and fine sand, wet a crystal clear sea, this uncontaminated and evocative oasis is surrounded by the Pineta del Gelsomineto where the thick pine woods are directly at the edge of the beach. At one end of the coast you can lie down on the cliff of limestone rock.
