Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral

The Orthodox cathedral is located in the center of the town of Fira. it was built in 1827, but in 1956 it was rebuilt due to a violent earthquake. The cathedral has a rounded shape and inside it has beautiful golden icons and frescoes by the local artist Cristoforo Assimis.
