The Japanese Tea Garden is the oldest formal public Japanese Garden in the USA; it was built in 1894 for The California Midwinter International Exposition, and along the years there have been many changes in its structure. Despite being one of the most visited tourist attraction in San Francisco, it remains a lovely and peaceful place to wander.
In this Japanese Tea Garden there's plenty of paths, ponds and even a teahouse with plants and trees arranged in a Japanese style; you can find oriental sculptures as well. Walking in this garden will be a discover of Japanese animals and plants; you will even have the chance to drink a traditional Japanese tea in the tea house. This is the ideal place to relax in a peaceful oasis, surrounded by Japanese azaleas and bonsai trees.
