Lo Scalo is situated in Marina di Novaglie. It is contiguous to the small harbor and placed in an inlet sheer from the Adriatic Sea, a few kilometers from Santa Maria di Leuca – the farthest “heel” of Italy which is told to be the meeting point of Adriatic and Ionic Seas. Among the appetizers proposed by Lo Scalo Restaurant you can taste fish and local mussels, like Gallipoli’s lobsters, black mussels, octopus, anchovies and a series of courses prepared with care to delight the guests with appetizing food. The fish is always fresh coming from the close waters of the Adriatic or Ionian Seas, depending on the direction chosen by local fishermen: mullets, lobsters, groupers, prawns, shrimps, sargos and dentex. Pasta is homemade by women living in Marina di Novaglie.
