The Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle is one of the oldest natural history museums in the world. Here you can find the linkage between natural sciences and human history. For nearly 400 years this museum has seen biodiversity as a scientific target spreading knowledge.

 The National Museum of Natural History is located from 1793 in the Jardin des Plantes. As a research center, it is based on: field and laboratory studies, a lot of disciplines, exceptional collections and a renowned experience. Its aim is to share knowledge with children and adults through exhibitions, conferences, animations in galleries, presentations of plants and animals in parks and gardens. The museum includes several departments: from the botanical garden (Jardin des Plantes) to the palaeontological (Galerie de Paléontologie) to the organic museum (Grande Galerie de l'Evolution) and its research is devoted to the study of biodiversity within the changes global.
