Musée de Montmartre

Museum Paris, France

Visiting Montmarte through art Musée de Montmartre

The museum is located in Montmartre, at the 18th arrondissement in the house of Bel Air. You will discover each step of Montmartre, since it was a simple country village to the moment in which it was the heart of the artistic movements that crossed Europe between the 19th and 20th centuries.

The museum's permanent collection is exhibited at Maison du Bel Air. You will have the unique opportunity to see Toulouse-Lautrec, Modigliani and Kupka all together. You will admire paintings, posters and drawings about the history of Montmartre Butte. You will live the incredible background of its glorious past with ateliers and the prestigious cabaret as at Lapel Agile at the Moulin Rouge. It couldn't miss a room dedicated to a very important ballet: the French Cancan. It was also the house in which lived one of the most important european painters: Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
