You can visit the house of the great French writer in the elegant Rohan-Guéménée building. It is located in the charming Place des Vosges, the heart of the Marais district. It is one of the three literary museums in Paris.
You can trace the main phases of the writer's life through his objects, portraits and drawings. Here the author usually met some of the great protagonists of the time, including Balzac, Dumas, Paganini, Liszt. There he wrote his literary masterpieces like the drama "Ruy Blas" and part of the "Miserables", the historical novel that made him famous all over the world. Free entry except when there are temporary exhibitions in which ticket costs between 5 and 10 €.
