The Bois de Boulogne is a large English park in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. It is located between the Boulevard Périphérique and the Seine. The enormous green area has many parks to satisfy every nature lover. You will see a lot of wonderful gardens and lakes but you will also enjoy leisure and fun facilities.
This green area became a park thanks to Napoleon III.Beacuse during his exile in England he was astonished at Hyde Park in London, he decided to create this bright park. In this park you can walk through its unusual gardens, such as the Parc de Bagatelle which is a mix between an English and a Chinese style, full of water lilies and irises. You have to see also the Jardin Shakespeare, famous for a 200-year-old purple beech.
