Located on the East River, right outside Manhattan, Roosevelt Island is a strip of land of a little bit more than 2 miles of lenght per 820 ft of width counting almost 12.000 residents.
This island, a few steps away from Manhattan can be reached by the F metro line; once arrived, there will be the Lighthouse Park Faro Island waiting for you to be visited, together with one of the oldest houses of New York, the Blackwell House. However, what will make your trip there unforgettable is gonna be your way back to Manhattan by cable car. This funicular leaves every 15 minutes from the island and arrives at Manhattan Tram Plaza, a station on the 2nd Av. and 60th St. From up there you will have the pleasure to enjoy an incredible view of one of the most well-known skyline and take rare pictures of it.
