NS-Dokumentationszentrum

Museum Munich, Germany

History and consequences of the Nazi regime NS-Dokumentationszentrum

The Documentation Center on National Socialism in Munich is a museum focused on the history of the city and of Bavaria between the First and Second World War, with particular attention to the political and social consequences of Nazism.

Announced in 2005 and opened to the public on May 1, 2015, the museum was symbolically built on the site of the Braunes Haus (literally the brown house due to the color of the militants' shirts), the headquarters of the NSDAP, one of the key of the regime to transform Munich into the so-called capital of the movement during the rise and seizure of power.
