Miami Children’s Museum was established in 1983 as the Miami Youth Museum as a 2,000 square foot facility located in a shopping center in West Kendall. In the past 32 years, MCM has relocated and expanded several times in response to both public and private help and involvement. The museum is a non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in Miami's multicultural community: it offers interactive exhibits, programs, and learning materials related to arts, culture, society and communication. MCM encourages visitors of all ages to play, learn, imagine, and create together.
