Tsingy Rouge Park

Nature Reserve Madagascar, Madagascar

Dramatic landscape Tsingy Rouge Park

The Tsingy Rouge (Red Tsingy) is a red laterite rock formation formed by erosion from the Irodo River in the Diana region of northern Madagascar. It is located about 60 km south of Antsiranana, near the town of Sadjoavato. Tsingy Rouge Park is characterized by tall clay-like rock formations created by landslides. The red rocks of this area are often compared to the larger ones found in Utah's Bryce Canyon National Park.
