Originally built as Kensigton Palace's private gardens, today they are part of the Royal Parks and are the most precious of the city. West side of Hyde Park, the gardens offer a lot of attractions such as Kensington Palace, Lady Diana's residence, Prince Albert Memorial, Queen Victoria's and Peter Pan's statues.
Today the palace is open to visitors and offers a unique show on the history of the British monarchy. The Long Water is a man-made lake in the heart of the park, which continues in Hyde Park, changing its name in The Serpentine. For children's joy, don't miss Diana Memorial Playground, inspired by Peter Pan's story.
