Château des Ducs de Bretagne

Castle Châteaux of the Loire Valley, France

Historical heritage dating back to the fifteenth century Château des Ducs de Bretagne

Built in the late fifteenth century by Francis II, the last duke of Brittany and then by his daughter, Anne of Brittany, the castle of the dukes of Brittany testifies to six centuries of history. Its medieval fortress protects a residential building with refined facades that blends different styles into a harmonious whole. In addition, the castle houses the Nantes museum of history, with a very contemporary set design and entirely open to the public.
