Sony Center

Bounded and unbound, sheltered but not enclosed Sony Center

Commissioned by Sony by architect Helmut Jahn of the Murphy/Jahn studio in Chicago, the Sony center is a complex of seven buildings spread over an area of approximately 26,000 m² in the Tiergarten district.

The entire construction took four years. On 20 January 2000 the tourist and entertainment area was opened, while the complex in its entirety was inaugurated on the following 14 June.
